Renovation of the loft area
The upper level of this apartment has been renovated to create a sleeping area. As there was not enough natural light, a number of roof windows were installed in the various rooms.
The windows have allowed light into the upper floor
By placing the roof windows side by side, strips of light were created in the lower part of the roof pitch, bringing pleasing light effects and emphasizing the movement of light during the day.
Main benefits of getting VELUX roof windows
- More space in the loft: The renovation of the loft has made it possible to double the living area of the apartment in size.
- Contact with the outside: In the loft rooms, the roof window allows occupants to see the sky, let in fresh air and see changes in light over the course of the day.
- A dynamic space: The light from above brings movement to the space, which changes with the light depending on the weather, the time of day and the seasons.
On the upper floor, a large en-suite sleeping area has been created by transforming the loft into a living space.
The light moves and, with it, so does the space
Within the sleeping area, the addition of the roof window has not only brigthened up spaces that would otherwise have been dark, but also allowed them to change dynamically with the seasons, the time of day and the weather conditions.
